ROTTERDAM – Cooperate Green, active in strengthening sustainable and socially responsible strategies with clear insight into impact and reporting, is expanding its services to the nonprofit sector. The agency proudly welcomes Tanja de Jonge as Non-Profit expert, who will build and lead the new offering.
New services for a growing need
Nonprofit organizations – from fundraising and government to healthcare, education and housing – face major challenges: creating insight into community activities, transparent accountability and strengthening sustainable impact.
“Nonprofit organizations operate from a strong social mission, but the demand for insight and transparency is growing rapidly,” said Bob van Dal, co-founder of Cooperate Green. “With this expansion, we are helping organizations that have different challenges, responsibilities and dynamics than corporations.”
A solid foundation: administrative experience and academic expertise
Tanja de Jonge brings extensive experience from the public and social domains. She has been an alderman for almost eight years, focusing on climate, energy, environment, participation and culture. She is also a member of the Supervisory Board and chair of the Financial Committee at Oxfam Novib and a member of the Advisory Board of the Dutch Forestry Commission.
She earned her doctorate in 2024 on the topic of stakeholder engagement, a core component of social responsibility. “Tanja combines administrative experience, strategic acuity and a deep understanding of what civil society organizations face on a daily basis,” Van Dal said. “She is honest, sharp, and at the same time warm and human – exactly the combination our nonprofit practice needs.”

De Jonge is looking forward to her new role. “For some time now, I have been supporting Cooperate Green and see how many opportunities there are to move civil society organizations forward,” says Tanja de Jonge. “I am greatly looking forward to using my experience in a way that is close to my own values. The beauty of this role is that I can help organizations grow and increase their social impact while staying close to the practice and the people.” Although De Jonge is still completing her aldermanhip, she is already involved in workshops, client meetings and strategic processes within Cooperate Green.
