Rotterdam, December 22, 2025 – Cooperate Green is starting a partnership with WITh Accountants to better support non-profit organizations in sustainability and ESG accountability. With this collaboration, both parties are responding to the growing need for structure, insight and practical guidance within social organizations.
Accounting firms are increasingly receiving questions about ESG, transparency and accountability, but do not always have the capacity or specialist knowledge to provide substantive guidance to organizations in this regard. “Accountants have direct insight into financial information and thus play a key role in verifying the connection with sustainability information,” says Bob van Dal, co-founder of Cooperate Green. “This collaboration translates that role into practice.”
Making sustainability practical for civil society organizations
WITh Accountants specializes in financial services for nonprofit organizations. The organization sees that many clients are motivated to be more conscious and transparent about sustainability, but sometimes get stuck on how to do so in a structured and proportional way.
“Many organizations want to get started drafting sustainability policies and appropriate reporting, but are looking for guidance and structure,” states Berrie Tromp, director of Professional Services at WITh. “Cooperate Green can provide their expertise on those points.”
From separate initiatives to a cohesive approach
Cooperate Green supports organizations in developing sustainability strategy, setting up ESG reporting and, where necessary, preparing for assurance. Through cooperation with WITh Accountants, social ambitions and financial accountability are more explicitly linked.
Both parties stress that it is not about “more paper,” but better choices. “Sustainability has to be workable,” Van Dal said. “Especially in the nonprofit sector, where efficient spending of resources and social impact are paramount.”
